HINT 01
Rick told us that we can access his online webmail at www.GOCOMPUPOST.COM using the following credentials:
EMAIL LOGIN: RICKFITCH@GOCOMPUPOST.COM
PASSWORD: The film Astrid Pelham starred in + animals Eustace’s friend looked after + year of Dredge Point (no spaces, all lowercase)
Logging into this webmail is essential to cracking the case, but it does not need to be the first thing that you do.
HINT 02
Have you established what the password is yet? You will need to pair his password clues with other pieces of evidence from the case file to formulate the password. If you keep getting the password wrong, read the red error message on the login screen to see if it helps.
HINT 03
The error message tells us there are no spaces and it’s all lowercase. Try again!
HINT 04
To work out “The film Astrid Pelham starred in”, read the encyclopedia
HINT 05
The film Astrid pelham starred in was called “Racing Heart”
To work out which animals Eustace’s friend looked after, read the book with the interaction between Eustace and Henry.
HINT 06
The animals Eustace’s friend looked after were sparrows
To work out the year of Dredge Point, you’ll need to combine two pieces of evidence.
HINT 07
Check out the “Early Plays of Mark Tewkesbury” and “The collected letters of Frances Parker”.
HINT 08
The “Early Plays of Tewkesbury” book explains that “The events of Pelham’s death would later provide the basis for Tewkesbury’s play Dredge Point”.
Now we know that Pelham’s Death is the subject matter for the play “Dredge Point”, we need to find another piece of evidence that discusses Pelham’s death as the basis for a play.
HINT 09
On May 15, 1961, Mark Tewkesbury writes a letter to Frances asking her if she is comfortable with the idea of him writing a play about Astrid’s death. The information at the top of that document (The collected letters of Frances Parker) explains that this was “the first time he discussed his idea for this play which would make its Broadway debut two years later”. Two years on from 1961 is 1963.
ANSWER
The password to access the webmail is:
racingheartsparrows1963
It should be all lowercase, with no spaces…just like Rick mentioned in his project journal (and as the red error message on the website points out!)
