Combine 2 pieces of evidence to work out where the knife came from and who was in possession of the knife.

You’ll need access to Jess’s mailbox to ascertain whether or not this is the murder weapon.
ANSWER
The weapon analysis shows that Jeremy’s fingerprints are on the handle of the knife – given that there is only one weapon analysis in the case file, we can safely assume that this is the knife mentioned in the “Internal Memorandum”. The logo on the knife suggests that it was taken from Andy’s Bistro – where Jeremy was dining with Chloe on the night of the murder. All of this suggests that Jeremy could have been the killer, but one of the messages in Jess’s mailbox proves that the knife was covered in cow blood/tissue (from the steak that Jeremy had eaten for dinner) and NOT human blood, proving that this weapon cannot be the murder weapon, providing a fairly strong alibi for Jeremy.
