Before proceeding with these hints, please complete the hints trail for the Torn Letter (online evidence). Once you have completed this, please move on to Hint 02.

Now that you have been able to crack the code to the letter and found the acrostic in the newspaper column, we have a list of Agent names to work with. Now would be a good time to look over the AIA Telexes and understand the various roles of each Agent.

59200/1 – Ali Prince – was communicating and coordinating with the AIA HQ

59200/2 – Mike Maxwell – aka Randall Tomlinson, is the mole leaking intelligence to the KGB

59200/3 – Charles Ungar – converted Agent X over from the KGB to the AIA

59200/4 – Jordan Brooks – has been requested to ‘get the job done’

The telexes are now easier to read now that we can apply names to each of them. To move forward with this case we suggest you turn your attention to the ‘Spies of London’ torn page, in particular page 88 and the detail around “covert assassin simply known as ‘/4’”.
