Take a look at the hints below for guidance!

HINT 01

Bobby was a close friend of Charlie back in the 90s (see 90s newspaper clipping), but after being caught up in the car crash case and serving time in prison, he found it hard to rebuild his career and was clearly very angry with Charlie. Can you find more evidence to locate his whereabouts leading up to the time of the murder?

HINT 03

The social media feed (in the webmail) mentions Bobby Lafaye staying at the Mountain View Hotel. The map of Las Vegas has a handwritten note scribbled on it for the location of the Mountain View Hotel. Why is the Mountain View Hotel relevant? See the DDI report found in the webmail.

HINT 04

In the DDI report (found in the webmail), special agent Lutzman tracked somebody checking in to the Mountain View Hotel at 21:30 on the night of the murder.  The name has been redacted for security purposes because this person is a “public figure” under witness protection. Given Bobby’s former career, and the supporting evidence from the social media feed, it’s a fair assumption that the name redacted from the DDI report was Bobby’s. Perhaps he placed himself in a hotel in Vegas to ensure that the hit was carried out successfully, and take matters into his own hands if it wasn’t.

This still isn’t enough to charge Bobby or prove his innocence. Could he have checked into the hotel and gotten across to the Casino to have committed the crime in time? Where else have you seen information on the Mountain View Hotel?

HINT 05

See the newspaper dated 25th March. There is an advert for the Mountain View Hotels, and it turns out there is one in Vegas and one in Denver. Take a close look at the photographs.

Answer

You can match the Denver photograph in the newspaper to the picture taken by Amy Hadley on her social media profile (see the email from Jack Forman). Pay attention to the shape of the pool, the balconies and the colour of the hotel walls. Since there is no way that Bobby could’ve gotten to Vegas from Denver in time to commit the murder, he has a strong alibi.
