Now that you have successfully identified the suspect, we’ve been asked to identify which town they are travelling to. Use the season ticket log in combination with the train times to help you.

The season ticket log says that “passengers may alight at any stop between these stations”. Pay extra attention to the barrier entry/exit times on the season ticket log.

The ticket covers travel between Victoria and Lewes. Let’s take a look at the timings:

The suspect jumps on the train at 20:47 (train LV-H17). This train is due to arrive at Lewes at 21:49, but the last recorded barrier exit time for this ticket was 21:45:57. As such, the suspect has alighted the train before the Lewes stop. Since the train arrives at Stirping at 21:44 train, this is where Guy must have gotten off the train.

As further evidence, the map on the screenshot displaying information about Maryann Winters shows the location of the Green Lion Pub. This is the Pub that is talked about in the coded note. The location of the Green Lion Pub sits between Lewes and Hayward Heath, which further supports the idea that the suspect jumped off the train at the town of Stirping (the stop between Lewes and Hayward Heath).
