HINT 01
Have you identified who Terrence is and how he knows Craig? Two pieces of evidence give us an insight.
HINT 02
The handwritten letter to Craig states, ‘You may brush me off as just Terrence, but that doesn’t change the fact that I am your father.’ Furthermore, Craig changed his name from “Terrence Macachef Jr.” to “Craig Flint” – see the Decree Changing Name form. Craig’s relationship with his father wasn’t good, and Terrence appears very jealous of Craig’s success. Where did Terrence go after leaving the Milton Motel?
HINT 03
According to the McRae Bay Towers Concierge Statements, Terrence arrives at McRae Bay Towers at 7 p.m. We know that he must have left sometime before 8 p.m. because the day concierge saw Terrence leave and his shift ended at 8 p.m. Where did Terrence head after that? Read the Milton Motel Concierge Statement.
HINT 04
According to Gunther, Terrence planned to watch the late-night showing of PIPPIN 4 at the MTCA. What time was the film, and how long was the film running for?
HINT 05
See The Miami Chronicle newspaper clipping. Pippin 4 was being shown at the MTCA cinema at 11 p.m., and the film’s running time was 185 mins (3 hours long!). What time was Craig killed, and does it incriminate Terrence or form an alibi for him?
ANSWER
Read Craig’s Coroners report. Craig was killed between 1 am and 2 am. Furthermore, the night concierge at McRae Bay Towers confirmed that Craig entered the parking garage at McRae Bay Towers at 1:13 a.m. Since Craig was found dead in his car, it’s safe to say that he was killed shortly after parking up. As such, Terrence would have been at the cinema while his son was murdered. Terrence later died in his Motel room under suspicious circumstances. If we can find out why and how he died, perhaps we can find the killer.
