These clues relate to Sue’s Whereabouts
HINT 01
Trace Sue’s movements.
HINT 02
We are told that Sue went to the park with Eve (verified by Eve), then to the restaurant with the family (verified by the siblings), then the Lemon Leopard club with Stubby (verified by Frank Lee) , and then to Henley with Stubby for the remainder of the weekend (unverified).
Is there any way to verify her claim that She went to their Henley house over the weekend?
HINT 03
A loyalty card was found in the Henley branch of AquaRocks on the Saturday. Who does this belong to?
HINT 04
Nellie Mercier is Sue’s old name (mentioned in the “All That Jazz” magazine). Sue was telling the truth about going to Henley for the weekend.
Have we got enough evidence to Eliminate Sue from the suspect list at this stage?
HINT 05
Why was Sue quick to take Eve’s drawing off of Stubby?
HINT 06
Check the reverse side of the drawing, it has a letter from an Ads company run by a person called “Xavier Robert” and it and it mentions “RHSD Music Ltd”…where else have we seen these people/entities mentioned?
HINT 07
RHSD Music Ltd was Stubby and Sue’s joint company name (made up of each of their initials. Xavier Roberts is linked to the shares certificate – see the signature and company name. How could this be considered a motive?
HINT 08
Stubby was adamant that his music wouldn’t appear on commercials (see obituary), but Sue seemed to have other ideas. Did Sue have a window of opportunity to plant the reed?
HINT 09
Yes. Sue’s statement doesn’t appear to be 100% accurate. According to the Doorbell Analysis, Sue appears to have had time to plant the reed between Stubby leaving for the park, and Eve arriving from school. Is this enough evidence to charge Sue with the murder or do we need more evidence that links her to the reed?
Still totally stuck? Here’s the answer
ANSWER
Unless you’re seeing something we’re not, we’re still not able to link Sue directly to the murder. She appears to have a motive (the shares in the ads company), and a window of opportunity during the day. We know it can’t have been her walking around at 2am since her last Sleepitol tablet had been used that night, and we know the Sleepitol tablets from the webmail (part 1) belong to Sue because she referred to them in the letter to her friend. We will need more evidence that Sue is linked to the crime before we can make any judgement on her. That oil stained note must have something to do with the crime. If we can work out why it exists, and who wrote it we might find the killer.
