Take a look at the hints below for guidance.

    Hint 1

    Damien has provided an online emulator for the cellphone he’s found. Head over to www.gotrailmail.com and take a look at it. The first thing you’ll need is his email address and password. Both of these can be found in the printed documents.

    Damien’s email address can be found in the email about the autopsy results.

    For the password, you’ll need to find the name of his favorite team as a kid. Look at the interview with Tommy Nguyen. 

    The team is the Astrids, but the password is lower case only so: astrids

    Once you’re into the emulator, you’ll be able to enter the passcode, and unlock the phone. 

    The code shows a grid of numbers.  

    The passcode will be unique to whoever owned the phone

    The security guards saw EJ3 throw a cell phone against a wall, then into the trash.

    The guards assumed it was his own phone. But you know what they say about assumptions… 

    The photo on the phone shows a specific person, holding a specific animal. Those two things might not normally go together. Look back over the printed evidence to see who that person and the animal are.

    The photo is of Celina Andre, EJ3’s wife. She’s holding a small dog, but EJ3 has terrible dog allergies, and insisted that Celina never even touch a dog.

    Big Mack owned a dog “about the size of a basketball.”

    The phone belonged to Big Mack. Yikes! Time to break the passcode. What numbers would be meaningful to him?

    He claimed his patented play was the key to his success, and there’s a diagram that shows the path players would take during that play. Can you match that diagram to the code entry grid?

    The passcode is the path of Big Mack’s Push-2-Right play: 0-4-8-6-3
