You’ll need to have unlocked the cell phone emulator before continuing with these hints. Go to Accessing the Online Content (Cellphone) if you haven’t been able to unlock it yet.
Hint 2
Because much of the cell phone’s info was damaged, the text chain doesn’t show contact info, only the phone number.
Hint 3
Look at the image on the phone. It has a chart with 26 emojis…the same number of letters in the alphabet.
Hint 4
The emojis seem to be used in place of letters. To do that, there would need to be a way to decode the message. Is there any document that has that capability?
Hint 5
A grid with all these emojis used in the text chain was found in Big Mack’s locker, listed in the police Evidentiary Record.
Hint 6
The most logical translation would be to use the first emoji as ‘A’ and the next as ‘B’ and so on. But that doesn’t break the code. In fact, one of the people on the text chain had the same issue…
Hint 7
The other texter says to use “your favorite play”. Did anyone mention their favorite play in the documents?
Hint 8
Big Mack’s favorite play is Push 2 Right. What happens if you adjust the cipher, so that the first emoji is pushed from A to C; the emoji to the right would then be D, and so on.
